Jacques Audiard's Cannes-winning musical Emilia Pérez led the pack in nominations with 10, followed by Brady Corbet's The Brutalist and Edward Berger's Conclave. Here are the winners for this year's Golden Globes

Payal Kapadia narrowly missed out on the Best Director award at this year's Golden Globes, losing to Brady Corbet. Her film All We Imagine As Light was up against fierce competition, including Jacques Audiard for Emilia Perez, Sean Baker for Anora, Edward Berger for Conclave, Brady Corbet for The Brutalist, and Coralie Fargeat for The Substance.

Payal Kapadia's award-winning film, All We Imagine As Light, was in the spotlight after securing nominations in the Best Director category and Best Motion Picture in a Non-English Language. It clinched the most revered Grand Prix title at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival earlier last year.

Fernanda Torres scored a big win as Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture for I’m Still Here, beating out Pamela Anderson, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton and Kate Winslet. Earlier, Demi Moore also scored a win as Female Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for The Substance. Moore said in her speech it’s the first award she’s won “for anything.” It was her third career Globes nomination.

Zoe Saldaña took the first award of the night — and the first Globe of her career — Female Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for Netflix’s Emilia Pérez

Wicked won the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award. “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez — with music & lyrics by Clément Ducol, Camille and Jacques Audiard — won for Best Song. The award was presented by Elton John and Brandi Carlile, with Sir Elton joking about his recent eyesight problems and saying he was “so pleased to be here with my co-host Rihanna.”

On the TV side, FX’s Emmy-dominant Shōgun’ led the way with four Globes including Best TV Drama Series and acting wins for defending Emmy champs Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai and Tadanobu Asano. 

Netflix juggernaut Baby Reindeer won for Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Actor and comedian Richard Gadd accepted the award. 

Jessica Gunning took Female Supporting Actor in a TV series for Netflix’s Baby Reindeer.  Jodie Foster took home a fifth Globe in her long career for the HBO limited series True Detective: Night Country. Ali Wong won her second career Golden Globe, this time for Netflix’s Ali Wong: Single Lady.
